I have been to Arizona many times. Mostly the northern part of Arizona, around the Colorado River. I have been to most of the major reservoirs along the river, including Lake Havasu, Lake Mojave, Lake Mead, and Lake Powell. I have also been to the Grand Canyon numerous times. I have ventured in as far as Flagstaff and Sedona, and I have been inside the Phoenix International Airport during a layover.

I have learned that the people in Arizona aren't the quickest or brightest people in the world. But in contrast to their slow driving and service in general, their law system requires expedient interaction. I think that this is intentional, to prey on the otherwise slow citizens of the state. Requiring them to reply to something, such as as a speeding, in as little as 30 days may be the best way to increase their income from this sort of activity.

Also, their speed limits are ridiculous for open highways. If you are traveling through Arizona, and don't plan on stopping, I highly suggest staying on the interstates. They may not be as exciting to drive on, but you probably won't get a speeding ticket for going 80.
